DID YOU KNOW...Om (pronounced “Aahh-ooh-mmm”) is a very simple sound with a complex meaning. Om is the whole universecoalesced into a single word, representing the union of mind, body, and spirit that is at the heart of yoga. The “aahh” represents the creation of the universe and the beginning of all sounds. It’s the most common letter that starts alphabets and connects us to our sense of self. The “oohh” signifies the maintaining energy of the universe. It connects us to an inner sense of something greater than that which we can see and feel. The “mmm” characterizes the transformative energy of the universe and its vibration allows us to slow down in order to feel the connectedness of all that is.
